Project Manager, Australasian Diabetes Data Network

Helen is a Project Manager for the Australasian Diabetes Data Network (ADDN). The ADDN project has established a central database pooling de-identified longitudinal diabetes data from a growing number of paediatric and adult centres across Australasia, enabling research into long-term health outcomes for children and adolescents who develop early-onset diabetes. Helen also works as a research and quality improvement coordinator within the clinical team at the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at PMH.

Her areas of research interest are:

  • Epidemiology
  • Genetic and environmental risk factors
  • Clinical data collection and harmonisation
  • Clinical care and associated outcomes in children with T1D
  • Models of care for children newly diagnosed with T1D.

Helen has worked previously as an IT business analyst both in Western Australia and the UK.
