Research is the answer to our problems, I think research plays the most crucial role in resolving health and medical issues. I believe in the skills and knowledge of the researchers at Telethon Kids. I am motivated to contribute because the people of WA should know about the great work that is going on and I believe as a consumer representative I can not only help communicate that information, but also ensure that researchers consider the people in the process.
It is so important to have community input into research because ultimately research is being done to benefit the community. Therefore, the community should be the ones directing it, influencing it and helping to shape it so they can get the most out of it.
