As a parent of a child that has been through treatment for a childhood cancer, I believe I can provide a unique insight into the community needs of research projects and in doing so, add value. We know the benefits that new treatments can bring and the importance of the research finding new ways to help save children’s lives. It is very rewarding to assist a project receive funding and know the Telethon Kids research is proceeding.

It is also an amazing opportunity to work with very clever and dedicated researchers as they develop ideas and deliver world class outcomes that will directly save lives of kids here in WA and world-wide. I recommend involvement to anyone touched by childhood disease that wishes to make a difference.
